Today is a big day for Sue. Not a lot of people can say they have served in the same church for 25 years! That is very impressive. So here are 25 things I love about Sue:
- She loves the Lord.
- She loves the word of God.
- She loves the church of God, especially First Trinity.
- She has a great sense of humor. Of course, that is a necessity around this place.
- She is a phenomenal process person, which is important to have at least one person on staff like that.
- She is competitive. Of course, the way she plays cards, well never mind.
- She genuinely loves the staff she works with, especially the lead pastor.
- She is a great faith coach.
- She feels guilty when she picks on me – as well she should.
- She loves my whole family.
- She prays for Wisken and Lovelie.
- It was great to watch her grow during our Israel trip.
- She has a contagious faith.
- She is a great friend.
- She has awesome ideas.
- I love her children’s messages.
- She is a great Bible teacher.
- She is a wonderful encourager.
- She has the respect of the whole Synod – which means I can drop her name in groups and it just makes me seem better than I am.
- She makes me better than I am.
- It is fun to watch her get excited about something. She can’t contain her joy, which is fun. She let’s her emotions show, which is a nice quality.
- I can talk to her and she will always be truthful.
- She loves the children, and especially her God-children.
- She reads a lot, which means she can recommend good books. Of course, sometimes she reads those silly chick-books.
- She is my eternal friend.
Sue, thanks for all you do. You show us Christ in so many ways. Sure, maybe not in the way you play (gun for me undeservedly) at cards, but in so many other ways. You’re the best.

As I told Sue, she is the reason my wife and I came to FT. No offense to Pastor W. but Sue rocks!

Sue has impacted my life in so many positive ways, but most significant is how she has transformed my life by her living example of a joy-filled follower of Jesus. Her leadership modeling is amazing. She’s also a very good card player! Almost as good as Pastor Chuck!

I will never be as good a card player as Pastor Chuck. Sad but true.

I think a “25 Great Things About Sue” list is such a Sue-ish tribute! Perfect! Now if you could just incorporate different-colored pens and giant chart paper…

And bubbles, Jaime. Bubbles would be good.

Seriously…this is just so nice. You can all stop now. And, Chuck, I can think of a few times when my emotions showing wasn’t so great…

She’s a great boss too, even if she did trick me into switching to gmail. I am grateful for the trick – I love gmail and Sue!

36. The way she puts what’s going on into words that you want to write down. It’s like a Star Trek universal translator that makes everyday events come out as bible verses.

…..yes, and I am so grateful for her lasting impact on our daughters and grand-kids.
