A few of us went to see the movie, “The Transformers” yesterday. Here is a warning, if you have young kids, don’t take them. The plot of the movie was fine, and even enjoyable. But the movie opened with so many sexual overtones and innuendos, that it just overshadowed the whole movie. The truth is, just as I was about to get up and walk out, the movie finally got on track. Still, I am a little upset I didn’t walk out though because I couldn’t enjoy it.
All of that junk added absolutely nothing to the movie. It could have been a very enjoyable outing, but it wasn’t.
Bottom line, the movie needs a transformation. Just make a descent movie and trust that is enough. Don’t try to fill it up with trash. I cannot recommend this movie.

I know it got bad official reviews. I’m sure it wasn’t for it’s sexual content. That rarely gets bad reviews, in this current age. Too bad they don’t.
Thanks for the heads up. We saw the first one on DVD but this one, well, not PG.

We watched the first one on DVD and skipped over 2 “unnecessary” scenes. Boys loved it and they knew Mom & Dad gave them the parts they wanted. Haven’t done that with Star Wars Episode 3 yet, but they will be happy when we get around to it.

I didn’t know there was a 3D version. I’ll bet the effects would be good. There was just way too much “unnecessary” stuff there. It could have been a great movie. Instead, it was more offensive than enjoyable.
I have seen a few 3D movies lately and the quality has been very good. I hope they make more.
